KEY FEATURES OF MOBIHEALTH 2014
The 4th edition of MobiHealth continues and extends the focus areas of the first three editions, emphasizing on specific research and scientific challenges in the Healthcare Technology domain faced in Europe and globally, featuring:

  • Keynote lectures by Andreas Lymberis, European Commission, Research program officer in Components Unit, Directorate General for Communication Networks, Content and Technology, Richard Kemkers, Philips Research Eindhoven, Head of the Department "Patient Care Solutions", Gisele Roesems-Kerremans, Deputy Head of (ICT for) Health and Wellbeing unit within DG CONNECT, the Communications Networks, Content and Technology Directorate General of the European Commission, and Gianluca Lazzi, USTAR Professor and Department Chair, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Utah.
  • Satellite Event on "Transforming healthcare through mobile and wireless technologies: Innovative Systems and Services". The event will comprise selected presentations of successful (on-going or recently completed) EC funded research projects and will consist of demos, oral and poster presentations. Additionally, representatives from enterprises and successful start-ups will launch innovative services and products in the field of mobile and wireless healthcare. The principal aim of this event is to provide an interactive forum for exploring synergies, discussing exploitation opportunities, summarizing success stories and best industry practice examples of the use of mobile and wireless communication technologies toward improving health outcomes and reducing healthcare costs.
  • Selected papers will be invited for submission to a Special Issue of the Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics (former IEEE Transactions on Information Technology in Biomedicine). More information can be found in the Conference's official site.
