25th and 26th September 2025 – Limerick Racecourse
It is with great pleasure that we announce the 28th Annual Scientific Conference of the BEAI, taking place on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th September 2025 at Limerick Racecourse, Patrickswell.
This year’s theme, “Clinical Engineers: Agents of Transformation,” reflects the evolving and impactful role that our profession plays in shaping the future of healthcare. For the first time in the conference’s history, the organising committee has extended the event to 1.5 days, beginning with a pre-conference exhibition opening, a dedicated symposium on Medical Device Connectivity, and a networking and social event on Thursday evening, to which all attendees are warmly invited.
The scientific programme has been carefully curated to represent both the current landscape and the future direction of Biomedical and Clinical Engineering. Highlights include sessions on MDR implementation, in-house medical device manufacturing, and the application of AI in clinical settings, alongside student presentations and much more.
We are honoured to welcome Prof. Derek O’Keeffe as our 2025 keynote speaker. As always, we aim to strike a thoughtful balance between perspectives from hospital-based engineers, academia, and industry. We strongly encourage everyone to engage in the Q&A sessions and contribute to the lively discussions.
This year, we continue our successful sponsorship model, featuring a single Gold Sponsor and multiple Silver exhibitors. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with representatives from over 40 leading medical technology companies in the exhibition hall. We are especially grateful to Rockford Healthcare, our 2025 Gold Sponsor, and extend our sincere thanks to all our exhibitors—your support makes this event possible.
We also encourage all delegates to visit the stands of key stakeholders, including the HSE Health & Social Care Professions (HSCP), the Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA), and the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI).
Please keep an eye on this page for updates, including special hotel rates, shuttle bus bookings, and other logistical information as it becomes available.
We look forward to welcoming you to Limerick this September for what promises to be another inspiring and engaging BEAI Annual Scientific Conference.
