Blast off or splash down: clinical engineering enters a new orbit!
17th and 18th September 2026 – Aviva Stadium
It is with great pleasure that I announce the 29th Annual Scientific Conference of the BEAI, taking place on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th September 2026 at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin.
This year’s theme, “Blast Off or Splash Down: Clinical Engineering Enters a New Orbit!” which reflects the evolving and impactful role our profession plays in shaping the future of healthcare. Following on from 2025 successful event in Limerick, the organising committee has decided to continue with an extended programme of 1.5 days, beginning with a pre-conference exhibition opening and a networking and social event on Thursday evening, to which all attendees are warmly invited.
The scientific programme is being carefully curated to represent both the current landscape and the future direction of Biomedical and Clinical Engineering. As always, we aim to strike a thoughtful balance between perspectives from hospital-based engineers, academia, and industry.
This year, to reflect the extended programme, we have revised our sponsorship model which moves away from a premium sponsorship tier to a more balanced exhibition structure with uniform sponsor presence. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with representatives from over 40 leading medical technology companies in the exhibition hall.
Please keep an eye on this page for updates and other logistical information as it becomes available.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Aviva Stadium this September for what promises to be another inspiring and engaging BEAI Annual Scientific Conference.
