BEAI Annual Scientific Conference 2026 – Programme now live!

The programme for this year’s BEAI Annual Scientific Conference is now available. We return to the Aviva Stadium, Dublin, on Thursday 17 and Friday 18 September.

THURSDAY 17 SEPTEMBER — MEDICAL DEVICE CONNECTIVITY SYMPOSIUM

The afternoon opens at 14:00 with our local secondary schools programme and the exhibition, followed by the Medical Device Connectivity Symposium (14:30–17:30), chaired by Fran Hegarty.

This is a working session rather than a lecture series. Short talks will set the scene, after which attendees break into groups to discuss, amend and prioritise the “actions and topics” that determine whether an MDI project succeeds. Live voting will score them in real time, with the results debated by a panel drawn from last year’s BEAI symposium and this year’s EBME Expo. The starting point is the output of the EBME roundtable held in June — we intend to test that thinking and develop it further, and the conclusions will be presented back to the full conference on Friday.

The day closes with a networking event at Lansdowne Rugby Club from 18:00.
