BEAI Annual Scientific Conference 2026 – The Final Countdown

Thursday 17 & Friday 18 September 2026 | Aviva Stadium, Dublin

Dear Members,

With less than a week to go, preparations for this year’s Annual Scientific Conference are in their final stages, and the BEAI is inviting you to join us at the Aviva Stadium next Thursday and Friday.

Blast Off or Splash Down?

Our theme this year is “Blast Off or Splash Down: Clinical Engineering Enters a New Orbit?”

It’s a question that reflects where our profession finds itself. The regulatory bar continues to rise under MDR and IVDR. Digital health is reshaping how devices, data and care connect. Each of these brings real opportunity, along with real pressure on departments already working hard to keep patients safe and services running.

Whether this moment becomes a launch or a hard landing depends a great deal on how we respond as a community. That is exactly what the conference is for: two days of sharing the work being done in departments across the country, learning from one another, and reconnecting with colleagues old and new.

Registration Is Still Open

If you haven’t yet registered, there is still time to secure your place:

Spread the Word

Please share this with colleagues in your department, particularly those newer to the profession or anyone attending for the first time. The conference is at its best when it brings the whole community together, from trainees to department heads.

A sincere thank you to the organising committee, our speakers and everyone who submitted abstracts. A great deal of work has gone into getting us to this point, and I’m looking forward to seeing that work on stage next week.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Aviva.
