Brian Clancy is a Principal Clinical Engineer at Beaumont Hospital with extensive experience working as a Clinical Engineer in the NHS and Ireland. He began his career in Sligo General Hospital before moving to the UK to study for an MSc in Medical Physics and Electronics and becoming the Clinical Engineering Manager at the Luton & Dunstable NHS Hospital. Upon returning to Ireland in 2010 he has worked for SLRON and the Mater Public Hospital. He has obtained significant training & expertise after working in nearly every clinical discipline from Neonatal to Radiotherapy and all Specialties in-between. Career highlights include NHS innovator award and Beaumont Hospital Operating Theatre Star award.

Beaumont Hospital has a brand new Hybrid Operating Theatre and Clinical Engineering have been at the forefront of the design, innovation and implementation of this world class Theatre.
