Medical Field Service Engineer (Biomedical / Clinical)

Forde May Consulting is in partnership with a well-established market leading medical device firm who are seeking a Medical Field Service Engineer to strengthen their client service and delivery capabilities. This is a role will cover Ireland (mainly Leinster) and will enable you to travel where necessary to install, upgrade and maintain advanced medical device equipment. This Medical Field Service Engineer is an evolving position with product upgrades and innovative new products that will give you long-term career progression and development. The exposure of the work you will be involved in will give you the genuine development to become an expert to give consultation to medical practitioners.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and servicing of a wide range of specialised medical equipment. The products you will focus on will be at an advanced level and will require you to have confidence and experience across mechanical and electrical based equipment so that you can diagnose and repair faults efficiently. The majority of our customers are hospitals (private and public) and it is important that you develop and build long-term relationships with the hospital departments you will be working with.

Training will be provided for all specialist equipment so that you have company brand specialist training.

Key Requirements

Ideally you will be a confident and inquisitive Electrical / Mechanical / Clinical Service Engineer with experience in the medical device sector or a related industry. Your experience will have brought you ideally to a medical skills base where you can develop this further. You will have at least five years proven experience in a related field service environment and have the confidence to liaise with leading surgeons and medical professionals to ensure successful partnerships are maintained. You will take responsibility for all work in your remit and manage priorities. You will strive to ensure that machinery downtime is non-existent and that your preventative maintenance plans are continually monitored and reviewed where necessary.
