Senior Clinical Engineering Technician UHWSCET2603

The Bio Medical Engineering Department of University Hospital Waterford (UHW) provides technical support and service for all clinical, laboratory and radiology equipment at UHW.

Current developments in this department include the implementation of an updated asset register and asset management system coupled with a review of all equipment support to reflect the evolving and expanding use of high tech equipment at UHW.   

The Bio Medical Engineering Department employs a Head of Department (Principal CET), Senior CETs and a Basic CET and it is hoped the staffing level of this dept will be kept under review in the context of increasing equipment utilisation of equipment and demands. The department currently provides service / support to UHW equipment but that may change in the future to reflect the needs of the HSE.

There are currently two permanent, whole-time posts available in this location.

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for University Hospital Waterford from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.
