Dear all,
The BEAI would like to update its members and colleagues on our upcoming 24th Annual Scientific Conference, taking place in Cork this Friday 4th October.
The BEAI Executive team and Conference Organisers have met as a team to review the recent weather warnings issued by Met Eireann. We are aware that there is a Status Orange weather warning in place for the County of Cork from 6pm Thursday evening until 3am Friday morning. Following a review by all involved, a decision has been made that the conference WILL go ahead as planned.
We would advise that attendees planning to travel down on Thursday, do so as early as possible to avoid adverse weather.
We have organised for the Silver Springs Clayton Hotel in Cork to be available for conference exhibitors and other attendees from 3pm on Thursday 3rd October, and the BEAI team will be on site from 3pm to welcome you all in advance of Friday’s main event.
We would ask that you keep an eye on the weather warnings and any updates being issued by Met Eireann (https://www.met.ie/warnings), please heed any advice they offer and by all means, contact us if you have any queries.
We will continue to update you all via the website, social media and email.
Looking forward to seeing you all there on the day, and safe journey.
Kind Regards,
Brian Kearney
