St James’s Hospital Dublin is developing a Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO13845. The primary objective of this QMS will be to support custom-made device production at the hospital’s maxillo-facial prosthetics laboratory. This unique laboratory provides a critically important service to patients across Ireland. The laboratory creates custom-made facial and other prosthetics to help patient rehabilitation after surgery or trauma. A secondary objective of the QMS will be to support wider application of 3D printing, digital modelling and digital design techniques. This latter objective is supported by HSE Spark.
The post holder will have primary responsibility for designing, developing and embedding the QMS in routine practice.
The post is offered for a 2-year period.
