Working with Masimo for over 17 years and in the medical device industry for 25 years, Stacey Orsat currently leads Masimo’s Europe, Africa, South Asia and Australia New Zealand businesses. Stacey began working on data integration projects in 2008 focused on real time integration of high-fidelity third-party device data, alarms and alerts to enable real time response to actionable data, as well as ensuring data availability for records, research and other requirements. Working on projects in over 15 countries has enabled and appreciation for the diversity of technologies, care workflows and data systems. By applying a “patient safety first” round table approach with technology providers and healthcare stakeholders, and adhering to the “Open Data Pledge” signed with the Patient Safety Movement Foundation has shown that it is possible to solve for silos, costs and workflow limitations to improve patient outcomes and reduce the cost of care.
