IFMBE | World Health Organization Surveys

Dear Colleagues,

We appreciate your kind input to any or all of the following three surveys conducted by the World Health Organisation.  The online survey will be opened till 15th November 2017.

  • 2017 Global Survey on Professional and Academic Profiles on Biomedical Engineers and Technicians

After the successful release of the book “Human resources for medical devices, the role of Biomedical Engineers”, supported by WHO, IFMBE and many colleagues around the world, we now need to review and update the numbers of biomedical engineers and technicians in every country as of 2017. Your input is thus much welcome and needed.
If you have information about the total number of biomedical engineers and technicians in your country, please choose the option “Country” on the first page of this survey. If you only have data specific to your professional society or your university, please choose the corresponding option on the first page of the survey.

  • Survey on Donations of Medical Equipment

This work was initiated by WHO intern D. We would like to continue this work and thus need evidence and numbers. If you have ever received donated devices, please share your experience by filling in the survey above as precisely as possible. The survey is available in four languages: English, French, Portuguese and Spanish. In order to fill in the survey, you need to log in with the information provided above (username: guest, password: guest)
